I am a lifelong lover of playing in the woods and believe in the healing powers of time spent outside. Since joining the wonderful world of outdoor education in 2006, I have gratefully been able to experience and grow from amazing moments, insights, and adventures with people of all ages, stages, and abilities. I have served as a professional ropes course facilitator and challenge course manager, at Summer camps as a director, counselor, special needs counselor, and trainer, on wilderness trips as a backpacking and rock climbing leader, as a leader of therapeutic saunters for adults; I have also spent time with teens in residential treatment and as a 1-1 support for preschoolers who were nonverbal and autistic.

I am certified as a Wilderness First Responder, a Leave-No-Trace Trainer, a Maryland Master Naturalist, a Ropes Course Manager, a Behavioral Health Professional, and an Education Technician. I have also long practiced meditation, yoga, and mindfulness exercises.

I enjoy knitting, long walks with my dogs, Ready and Zuki, and kayaking! I have had a lot of fun blending my passions with my work and have generally chosen jobs I knew I would enjoy, grow from, and benefit others. My approach to this wild life is to do what you love and leave the world better than you found it.
