Sunbeam Session welcomes all kids with neurological and physical barriers to enjoy a week of fun, adventure, and accommodations as necessary with dedicated and supportive staff!
Camper Experience:
Hearty Roots Adventure Camps foster mindfulness and resilience for Maine youth through a unique fusion of outdoor adventure programming and social-emotional experiences. Relationship building, exploring, recreating, journaling, yoga, and mindfulness activities are all a part of the recipe for programming that not only encourages positive affirmation, meaningful connections, and healthy mindsets, it provides a safe space for all participants to go on a journey of self-discovery. All camps culminate in a Closing Circle where campers reflect upon and share their experiences with each other and their families! Sunbeam session will be capped at 9 participants with 3 qualified kid professionals, for intentional supervision and purposeful group facilitation. Support persons or family members of Sunbeam campers are welcome to spend a portion or all of the day at camp with us, if they would prefer.
A pack list will be sent to families in the weeks leading up to the start of camp.
